Why We Love the Sunsail 404

The Sunsail 404 is a Yacht Owner’s Dream, and she is available to own through our Yacht Ownership Program. Her blue-water sailing capabilities, performance, and comfort create a catamaran that fits perfectly into the Sunsail fleet.

Continue reading to discover a few reasons why we love the Sunsail 404.

Forward facing galley

We encourage you to step aboard the Sunsail 404 and experience this for yourself. The tall vertical glass windows across the front of the saloon bring excellent lighting into the galley, which is facing forward towards the trampoline and the settee is situated aft and to port. This layout, along with the light and modern finishes, enhance the open concept feel and facilitate easy navigation in and around the yacht.

Forward access door and sliding glass door

When you step onboard and walk into the galley you will note that the large sliding glass doors are attached to the windows that separate the saloon from the aft cockpit. The windows attached to the door slide back into the boat to create the perfect fusion of outdoor and indoor living.

It is, of course, a given that the forward access door is a nice feature for easy access to the trampoline, but what you will soon realize is that it is so much more than that. At anchorage, when you prop this door open, the way the breeze circulates throughout the yacht is nothing short of fantastic. With the wind keeping you cool and the solar panels keeping your batteries charged, you will be tempted to leave your generator off for the evening. Although, the Sunsail 404 is equipped with a generator, should you decide you need it!

Helm Station

The helm station is raised to starboard for good visibility, and from the helm station your lines are lead through eight clutches, conveniently positioned to starboard. Just below your clutches you will find two winches, one of which is electric and very useful when putting up the main. The helm station is protected by a hardtop bimini that has a window so you can keep track of your sheets and battens. All of these attributes are what make this yacht a pleasure to sail. The helm station provides enough space for you to sail single handedly, or with your first mate by your side.

Solar Panels

Why wouldn’t you want to collect free power that shines out of the sky, doesn't make a peep and requires zero maintenance? In the world of cruising today, it goes without saying that you will want your yacht to be outfitted with a few of these clean energy power sources. The Sunsail 404 is equipped with two solar panels to keep your fridge cool and your batteries working great.

Dual 29 hp Yanmar Diesel Engines

Yanmar engines are known for their quality and dependability, and the Sunsail 404 is equipped with two! Under power, the maneuverability of this catamaran is unlike any boat you have had the pleasure of cruising-- docking and mooring is easier than you ever imagined.

Space

With the innovative interior layout, plus expanded windows and doors that blur the lines between inside and outside, the interior space inside the Sunsail 404 feels like that of a much larger yacht. The interior dining can comfortably seat up to eight guests. And while relaxing inside, there is enough space for people to congregate in the saloon while others move about the galley.
